A new charity, Rugby Area Talent Trust, is being created and will be launched in Rugby, Warwickshire inside the next few weeks. Rugby Area Talent Trust, already becoming known as RATT, will facilitate events and provide funding to support talented young people from across Rugby borough.
“Our aim, once we’ve built up or secured some initial funds, is to provide a programme of small grants to support young people with talent and potential” said David Head, one of the founder trustees. “This might be in music, other arts, sport, academia or even business and enterprise. We will be focusing on individuals and will want to work closely with our beneficiaries”.
The charity will be launched formally at Rugby Mini Fest on 22nd August, which will be raising funds for RATT and showcasing some of young Rugby talent of the type the charity will support in the future.
